Accessibility Statement

The standard we build toward

We build this site toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

We do not claim the site is certified or perfect. Accessibility is ongoing work. We test, we find problems, and we fix them. This page tells you honestly where we stand today.

What we have done

A visible focus outline on every link, button, and form field, designed to stay visible on both our light pages and our dark navy sections.

A skip to content link as the first thing you reach by keyboard, so you can jump past the navigation.

A real label tied to every field on our estimate form. Placeholders are examples only, never the label.

One main heading per page, with the headings under it in order.

Alt text on images that describes what the image is for. Decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.

A name on every icon-only control, including the mobile menu button.

Text and interface colors checked against the WCAG contrast targets, and adjusted where they fell short.

The navigation menu and the question panels close when you press Escape, and focus returns to the control you opened them with.

Form errors are announced to screen readers and are tied to the form, not signalled by color alone.

Motion is reduced automatically if you have turned on the reduced motion setting in your operating system.

English customer reviews shown on our Spanish pages are marked as English, so a screen reader pronounces them correctly instead of reading English words with Spanish pronunciation.

Known gaps

We would rather tell you about these than hide them.

The map on our contact page is built and controlled by an outside mapping provider. Its keyboard behavior, its colors, and how it reads to a screen reader are outside our control.

The spam screening badge that appears in the corner of the page is built and styled by an outside provider. We scale it down so it does not cover the page content, and we cannot change how it behaves.

Our customer reviews are real reviews written in English. We show them word for word on both our English and our Spanish pages rather than rewriting what a customer said. On Spanish pages they are marked as English so they are read aloud correctly, but they are not translated.

Some thin decorative divider lines in the footer are low contrast on purpose. They separate sections visually and carry no information, so nothing is lost if you cannot see them.
